Hillcrest Tops Pocatello 32-7 in Rainy Matchup

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) — Hillcrest battled through heavy rain Friday night to earn a 32-7 win over the Thunder in Pocatello.

The Knights held a one-point lead when quarterback Logan Taylor helped spark a key scoring drive.

Facing third-and-20, Taylor scrambled for a big gain to set up a more manageable fourth down. On the next play, he delivered a pass into the back of the end zone through double coverage for a Hillcrest touchdown.

The Knights added two more points on the conversion, handing the ball to Ethan Saunders on an end-around. Saunders turned the corner and found the end zone to extend Hillcrest’s lead to 16-7 at halftime.

Hillcrest pulled away from there, finishing off a 32-7 victory over the Thunder.
