Thunder Ridge secures first win of the season over Bonneville 28-6

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) — Thunder Ridge picked up its first win of the season Friday night, beating Bonneville 28-6.

Both teams entered the matchup looking to bounce back after Week One losses.

Thunder Ridge quarterback Ryder Portman helped get the Titans moving on their opening drive. Portman broke a tackle, escaped to his left and delivered a throw on the run to McKay Scorsby for a first down.

The drive eventually stalled on fourth down, giving Bonneville its first possession.

Bees quarterback Jaxton Briggs answered with a big play of his own, escaping to his left before finding Ryan Flynn for a first down.

Bonneville finished the drive with a touchdown when Cooper Stephenson ran straight up the middle and into the end zone.

Those would be the Bees’ only points of the night.

Thunder Ridge responded and pulled away, scoring 28 unanswered points to secure the 28-6 victory.
