More heat for the Week

Strong high pressure means hot dry weather for us for the rest of the work week. Stay cool in the upper 80's today, closer to 90-91 in Salmon/Pocatello. Upper 70's for Jackson Hole proper and around 80 in Driggs, light winds SW.

Lows at night help reduce heat for afternoons in the valley, however an Excessive Heat Warning for Treasure Valley areas and Heat Advisory for lower Magic Valley are in effect for tomorrow. Be prepared to find cool spots, hydrate, wear light colored clothing, check on the elderly and pets, leaving nothing in cars that heat up under these conditions. Limit outdoor activity and be cautious of cold natural waters/canal under currents. We'll have a chance of some mountain showers for Salmon into tomorrow with a cold front sliding across and kicking our winds up by Friday with highs into the 90's for most of us. Windy conditions with temps dropping to 80's by Saturday and Sunday. 70's by next week. These hot conditions are 10-12 degrees above normal for the season.
