Lingering snow showers Friday night and a few showers/flurries for Saturday, as this system moves away. The Winter Weather Advisories will expire Saturday morning. Another shot at snow arrives late Sunday and Monday.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST
SATURDAY…

  • WHAT…Snow expected this afternoon and tonight. Additional snow
    accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Some blowing and drifting snow
    remains possible.
  • WHERE…The cities of Idaho Falls, Rexburg, St. Anthony, ,
    McCammon, Downey, Lava Hot Springs, Malad, Preston, and Soda
    Springs.
  • WHEN…Until 5 AM MST Saturday.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Untreated roadways may lead to snowy,
    slick road conditions. Slow down, allow extra time to reach
    your destination today and leave additional space between the
    car in front of you.

Saturday: A chance of snow before midday, Cloudy, with a high into the mid to upper 20's. Breezy winds 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny for the Snake River Plain, with a high into the upper 20's and lower 30's. Sunday night, increasing clouds with a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of snow, Cloudy, with a high near into the mid 30's. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
