Winter Weather Advisory – Freezing Drizzle

Scattered snow and freezing drizzle tonight and Tuesday morning, with a band of wet weather sliding in from the Southwest. The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday morning, to include the freezing drizzle. Freezing drizzle is drizzle that freezes on contact with the ground, making for very slick conditions on roadways.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST
TUESDAY,
Including the cities of Idaho Falls, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Wayan,
Swan Valley, Victor, Ashton, Tetonia, Driggs, Island Park,
and Kilgore

  • WHAT…Snow. Freezing Drizzle. Additional snow accumulations of
    1 to 2 inches. Areas of freezing drizzle tonight.
  • WHERE…Island Park, Ashton, Driggs, Pine Creek Pass, Swan
    Valley, Wayan.
  • WHEN…Until 11 AM MST Tuesday.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The
    hazardous conditions could impact the evening and Tuesday
    morning commute.

For Tuesday, we'll see areas of freezing drizzle, Cloudy, with a high into the mid to upper 30's.

Wednesday, Mostly cloudy skies with highs into the mid 30's.

Thursday, keeping the mostly cloudy forecast, with a high near 35°.
