Monday sun and snow Friday

A river of moisture positioned above the Salmon area and the panhandle of Idaho make for wintry conditions today and some shower chances for the upper central mountain areas with highs in the mid 40's amongst the insulation and moisture. High pressure to our south and east acts a barrier and thwarts any big shower chance for the valley today.

Sun eventually and highs in the low to mid 30's for Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Jackson. Light winds from the south 5-10mph with a chilly beginning for us, in the teens and some single digit wind chills. Temperatures will continue to rise over the next 3 days.

Snow chances for Friday and into Saturday with the temperatures dropping again into the 30's.
