Gusty winds with cooler temperatures, more smoke blowing in

We’re currently under a Wind Advisory, with West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. 

A few thunderstorms this evening with gusty winds across the region for Friday. A trough of low pressure, will move the region, lowering our temperatures into the 70’s for Friday. High pressure along the west coast, will return this weekend with warming temps back into the 80’s. The fire danger remains high, with low humidity and gusty winds throughout the region. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning through Thursday, with the elevated fire weather conditions.  

 Winds this evening at 15-25 mph, a few thunderstorms will work into the local mountains. Overnight lows will drop to the lower and mid 40’s. 

Friday, look for sunny skies, with some smoke/haze. Daytime highs will drop to the mid 70’s for the Snake River Plain. Winds will remain gusty for most of the day, with gusts at 10-20 mph. 

Saturday, we’ll see lighter winds with highs in the upper 70’s. 

Sunday, we return to the 80’s for highs.
