Chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening

An area of low pressure is working into our region from the southwest. We’ll see the winds increase, clouds beginning to form and showers developing Wednesday afternoon.

Mostly clear overnight into Wednesday morning with lows around 50°. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-15 mph, with gusts around 15-25 mph.

Daytime highs for Wednesday will hit the upper 70’s to the lower 80’s. Scattered showers possible in the afternoon and evening hours with a few thunderstorms possible. Winds will be gusty in the 15-25 mph range.

Most of the showers for Thursday, will be focused towards our local eastern and northern mountains. For the Snake River Plain, look for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the lower 60’s. Winds will be in the 15 to 20 mph range in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunny and cool for Friday with highs in the mid 60’s.
