Wet weather will move in from the west for Wednesday evening. We’ll see a chance of snow before midnight, then rain and snow. A Low temperature around 32° for the Snake River Plain. South southwest winds at 15 to 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Rain and snow showers for Thursday with cloudy skies. A high temperature in the lower 40’s for the Plain. Breezy, with southwest winds at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

A chance of snow and rain for Friday. Mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the upper 30’s.. Southwest winds at 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM MST FRIDAY:

  • WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches,
    except 6 to 12 inches on ridge tops and elevations above
    passes. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • WHERE…Marsh and Arbon Highlands-Blackfoot Mountains- Including
    the cities of Inkom, McCammon, Downey, Lava Hot Springs, Grace,
    Soda Springs, Henry, and Bone.
  • WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Friday.
  • IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
    could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
    conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM MST FRIDAY:

  • WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10
    inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • WHERE…Teton Valley- Including the cities of Ashton, Tetonia,
    and Driggs.
  • WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Friday.
  • IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
    could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
    conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
