More heat ahead of changes this weekend

High pressure will make this the hottest day of the year so far about 10-15 degrees above averages. Seasonally, it comes in about 77 in Idaho Falls. Today we will breach 90, some areas in the upper 80's.

Winds pick up into the afternoon with a chance of storms. Gusts of 25-30 mph expected.

Friday will be slightly cooler and still windy with a shot of much cooler air by the weekend, dropping temperatures quickly into the 70s Saturday and 60s Sunday. Mountains may receive a touch of snow mixed in with showers for higher elevations. Lows will sink to the 30s in the mountains, around freezing in Jackson and 40s for the valley before we bounce back to fun summer weather next week.
