Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8pm; Clearing out and colder for Thursday

A strong afternoon and evening cold front is driving in severe thunderstorms with high wind gusts. All of eastern Idaho and western Wyoming is sitting with a thunderstorm watch until 8pm.  Skies are clearing rapidly tonight behind the front. We'll see colder and drier conditions for Thursday.

For tonight, scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low temperature around 39°. Windy, with a southwest wind around 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

Sunny and colder for Thursday, with highs in the upper 60's to lower 70's. Winds from the southwest around 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Friday will be sunny, with a high near 69°. Breezy, as southwest winds blow around 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40
mph.
