More wind for this weekend with a few showers and thunderstorms

As low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest, we’ll see a few storm clouds late Saturday and early Sunday.

On Saturday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3PM for the Snake River Plain. Partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day. Winds will drive in out of the southwest around 15-25 mph, with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. As we move into Saturday night and early Sunday morning, look for a few showers and thunderstorms. Overnight low temperatures will drop to around 50° for the Snake River Plain. Off and on winds will continue heading into Sunday morning, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Showers are possible for Sunday morning with clearing skies by the afternoon. High temperatures will be cooler, only reaching the mid 60’s. Windy, with a south-southwest wind 15 to 25 mph increasing to 25 to 35 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

We’ll see a brief break for Monday before another low-pressure system moves in Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures for Monday will rise to the lower to mid 70’s. Expect stormy weather Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday.
