Tracking heat and dry conditions ahead of the weekend cold front

Ridge high pressure is controlling our weather over the next few days as we really begin to amplify the heat. We'll see a short way push through the zone flow and trigger some winds and some storms by the time we get to Thursday. By the time we get to the weekend, we'll see a major 15 to 20° drop in temperatures with some widespread rain and more wind..

Today it'll be sunny and right around 89°. Winds coming in out of the north and will shift to the southwest in the afternoon. It'll be clear tonight with a low round 50. Wednesday partly sunny in a high approaching 90° and winds gusting up to 25 miles an hour, Wednesday night partly cloudy around 50 wind still gusting to 20. Thursday a chance of rain mainly in the morning and a slight chance of an afternoon, thunderstorm and sunshine and 84 winds gust as high as 25 miles an hour.

Friday partly sunny and a high of 83. We bring in more storm chances with rain in the morning on Saturday and then a thunderstorm possible in the afternoon at around 70% and a high of 67. Saturday night down to 38 Sunday of 40% chance of rain and storms and partly sunny and 61.
