Friday high temps in the 80’s with afternoon thunderstorms; hot and sunny 4th of July

We’re seeing some thunderstorm activity for Thursday afternoon and evening. Most thunderstorms are favoring the SE Idaho mountains and western Wyoming counties. For Thursday night, look for some showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds. Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low temperature around 48°. South winds around 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20%.

We still have some thunderstorm potential for Friday on the tail end of low pressure. On Friday, look for partly sunny skies, with a few thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will reach the lower to mid 80’s. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

For Independence Day Saturday, look for sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid 80’s for the Snake River Plain. Winds will be out of the southwest around 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Sunday will be Sunny, with a high near 91°.
