Warming trend with just a few thunderstorms for Thursday; Very hot weather this weekend

We’re seeing a few thunderstorms this evening, with some of the thunderstorms producing severe wind gusts and frequent lightning. Overnight, it will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature around the mid 50’s. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. The shower and thunderstorm threat will clear quickly in the late night hours.

Moving into Thursday, it will be hot and mostly sunny with high temperature around 90°. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms, especially for locations around the Snake Highlands along the Montana state line. Winds will be out of the southwest around 10 mph. With wind gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunny for Friday with high temperatures in the mid 90’s.

The heat continues to build for the weekend with high temperatures well into the 90’s, approaching 100° for Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
