Another wave of heat is arriving with wildfire smoke lingering

We are headed into a heatwave, with less smoke in out favor and more sunshine that will take temps to the 90s.  Mid 90s for the valley and mid-to-upper 90s south and west and to near 100 in Boise.  Mountain highs in the upper 80s at around 88 in Jackson and 85 in Island Park. 

Winds coming from south and west and gusting to 20+mph into the afternoon drive time period. 4-7pm. 

Moderate to unhealthy air quality with smoke in the air like yesterday. Triple digits are possible into the weekend forecast and you'll need to be safe,  A ridge will likely override the high pressure into next week, and there is some possibility that more of that southern monsoonal moisture is able to sneak up here again and give us some shower chances.
