Highs in the 80’s with a thunderstorm risk

KIFI

We’re tracking thunderstorms and isolated showers for the next couple of days. For Monday evening, there will be mostly cloudy skies with occasional thunderstorms and showers. Overnight lows will drop to the mid 50’s, with light winds, unless you’re near a collapsing thunderstorm with gusty winds.

A ridge of high pressure will continue building over the region, although monsoon moisture will still be abundant enough to support isolated, mostly mountain storms. Thunderstorms will be capable of moderate rain and wind gusts up to around 45 mph.

For Tuesday, look for partly sunny skies, with a slight chance of thunderstorms. High temperatures in the Snake River Plain will reach the lower to mid 80’s. Winds will be around 5-10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Mostly sunny for Wednesday with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs will reach the mid 80’s for the Snake River Plain.
