Scattered Thunder for Monday evening; Hot temps and a few more storms lined up for Tuesday

We're tracking several thunderstorms late Monday, with some storms triggering severe thunderstorm warnings. For Monday night, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms around sunset and for the late-night hours. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South southwest winds will be around 5 to 10 mph. However, expect gusty winds from passing thunderstorms.

We still have high pressure to our southeast, driving in monsoonal moisture pushing out of the south. This will trigger afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. The high pressure will also drive a warming trend for the next couple of days. There is some relief from the heat, with low pressure moving to the north by this weekend.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. In the Snake River Plain, high temperatures will reach the upper 80's and lower 90's. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows for Tuesday night will drop to the upper 50's for the Snake River Plain.

Mostly sunny and hot for Wednesday, with high temperatures in the Snake River Plain reaching the lower 90's.
