Sunny and breezy Saturday; showers in central Idaho

We’re on the edge of a large area of low pressure over the northwest. We’ll keep it breezy, sunny and warm for eastern Idaho and western Wyoming for Saturday and most of Sunday. Meanwhile, central Idaho counties will look for scattered showers and thunderstorms. The low pressure moves east late this weekend, leading to stormy weather moving in Sunday night.

For Saturday, look for highs near 80° in the Snake River Plain. Winds out of the southwest around 10-15 mph, with gusts around 25 mph. For Saturday night, look for mostly clear skies, with a low around 50°.

Mostly sunny to start out Sunday, with increasing clouds for the afternoon and evening. High temperatures in the Plain will reach the lower to mid 80’s. There is a chance of rain and thunderstorms later in the day, towards the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20-30 mph. For Sunday night, look for showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51°. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

On Monday, there will be scattered showers and gusty winds. High temperatures will only reach the mid to upper 60’s.
