Sunny skies and light winds with 70’s for highs

We’re heading into an extended stretch of beautiful fall weather, with plenty of sunshine, dry conditions, and mild afternoon temperatures lasting through the workweek and into the upcoming weekend.

For Tuesday night, we will remain mostly clear with overnight temperatures dropping into the lower 40s. Winds will be light, generally around 5 mph. Sunshine returns Wednesday, helping temperatures climb to around 70 degrees during the afternoon. Winds will stay light at about 5 mph before turning from the west-southwest later in the day.

The sunny pattern continues Thursday with highs again near 70 degrees. A light south wind of around 10 mph will develop during the day. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures warm a few more degrees, reaching the mid 70’s under bright sunshine and dry skies. Winds will remain light, creating comfortable conditions for outdoor activities.

Looking ahead, high pressure and very dry air will continue to dominate the weather pattern, keeping eastern Idaho rain-free through at least the weekend.
