Sunny and warm for early October

KIFI

Thanks to a building ridge of high pressure, dry weather is likely through the weekend and into much of next week. We’ll see some wind for Friday and Saturday afternoons, with temperatures well above average for this time of year.

For Thursday night, look for clear skies and a low temperature in the lower to mid 40’s throughout the Snake River Plain.

On Friday, it will be sunny and mainly clear with an afternoon breeze. High temperatures will reach the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. Winds will be out of the southwest around 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Saturday will be sunny with high temperatures in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. We’ll once again see afternoon winds around 10-15 mph.

More sunshine for Sunday with high temperatures near 80°.
