College of Eastern Idaho puts in more than 100 new parking spots

Pulling up to a college or a university, you might find it hard to park. At the College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls parking, might not be an issue any longer.

CEI added more than 100 parking spots near the health care building. The college said it has been working all through the summer to open the spaces for the new semester.

The new spots will keep students from having to walk across campus.

“It’s comical. We watch students who want to get as close to a building as they possibly can,” said Todd Wightman, the communications and marketing director at CEI. “We have more spots on the south end that are available, but people will park even in the field so they can be closer to the health care building.”

CEI said that this year’s enrollment numbers compared to enrollment from this time last year are already higher.
