Remains of missing man may have been found

The Shoshone-Bannock tribes announced Wednesday that the remains of a man missing since February 2018, may have been found.

The Fort Hall Police Department and FBI officials say human remains have been found at a site on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation that could be Austin Pevo.

New information given to authorities led to a possible site where a body may be located and further investigation confirmed remains were found.

The remains have not been identified and the FBI is continuing its investigation.

Pevo has been missing since February 2018.

His family reported him missing to the Pocatello Police Department since he lived off the reservation.

Fort Hall Police assisted in the investigation at the time and interviewed individuals who know Pevo.

At the time, no evidence of foul play was identified.
