Messages of hope covers Green Belt sidewalk

Millions of people across thousands of gatherings protested Friday in what appeared to be the largest climate protest in the history of the world.

On Saturday, people of all ages came out in Idaho Falls to show their support for the movement.

A message of hope covers the pavement of the Green Belt sidewalk.

Sean Craft, a coordinator for the Sunrise Southeast Movement, said: ” We are out here to raise awareness and urgency. There is a need of action for climate change. ”

Some may struggle with understanding the importance of climate change because they don’t see how it could affect them, but it could affect someone we love.

Craft said: ” My son is 5 years old, and he is inheriting the planet that we leave behind. If we don’t take action now, he’s not going to have the best life possible. It’s every parent’s responsibility to ensure they have the best life possible. ”

Other kids, like Garrett, put their message on the pavement to help save the Earth.

Anton Schwen is a child in Idaho Falls who is also writing his message on the pavement.

Schwen said: ” We are drawing this so that people know that climate change is real and we have to stop it. It is our future and everybody else’s. ”
