Warming trend continues with afternoon and evening thunderstorms

KIFI

For Tuesday night, we have some isolated thunderstorms with a low temperature in the mid 50's. Skies will clear by morning, with an overnight low temperature in the mid 50's. Winds will be out of the southwest around 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

High pressure to our southeast and some moisture will once again lead to a hot afternoon for Wednesday with thunderstorms. High temperatures in the Snake River Plain will push to around 90°.  We'll also see gusty winds from some of the passing thunderstorms.

Drier weather is expected for Thursday, with mainly sunny skies. There will be just a couple of isolated thunderstorms in the late afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower 90's for the Snake River Plain.

Hot and sunny for Friday with high temperatures reaching the mid 90's.

High pressure strengthens this weekend with high temperatures pushing to the upper 90's and low 100's.
