Tyler Wyatt sets Pioneer League record with 33-game hitting streak

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – Idaho Falls Chukar Tyler Wyatt has set the Pioneer League record for the longest hitting streak at 33 straight games today, Aug. 14.

Wyatt broke the record with a single in the top of the third inning during the team's game against the Ogden Raptors.

Wyatt's hitting streak began back on July 5. Over the course of the 33-game span, he has compiled a .430 batting average with 64 hits in 149 at-bats. During the streak, Wyatt has collected 39 singles, nine doubles, one triple and 15 home runs. He also registered 52 RBIs, 15 walks and 120 total bases across his 149 at-bats.
