Rexburg’s Main Street reopens following investigation of suspicious unexploded ordnance

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — Rexburg Police have reopened West Main Street between 1st East and Center Street after an item that looked like unexploded ordnance was found in a vehicle.

Police closed off the area for more than two hours. They even evacuated people from nearby businesses as they investigated.

A bomb squad showed up and was seen checking out the device. We are waiting to hear what police found.

Rexburg Police posted on social media that there is no threat to the public.
