Red Flag Warning issued September 9 at 12:58PM MDT until September 10 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Riverton WY

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Thursday.

* AFFECTED AREA:
In Central WY Fire Zone….288.
In North Central WY Fire Zone….287.
In Northwest WY Fire Zone….286.

* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central WY…Fremont.
In North Central WY…Hot Springs…Park.
In West Central WY…Sublette.

* IMPACTS: Low Humidities and Strong Gusty Winds could cause
erratic fire behavior.

* WIND: West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 to 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY: As low as 12 to 15 percent, especially at elevations
below 10,000 feet. RH recovery will be poor at elevations below
9,000 feet.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now….or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds…low relative humidity…and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
