Bannock county amends burn resolution
Bannock County Commissioners have unanimously modified an open burning resolution approved during the Charlotte fire. It will make life easier for back yard chefs, but, there will be no change in the county’s fireworks ban.
The resolution makes two basic changes. The first clears the use of propane or other similar gas fired camp fires or barbecue grills as an approved open flame.
The second change allows any fire in a protected fire ring pit or grill that is supported by charcoal briquettes.
But, the new resolution states any fire that can support wood or any other burnable debris that can transfer burning embers is not allowed in any unincorporated area of Bannock County.
