Pocatello man drowns in Alaska lake

Divers have recovered the body of a second man killed when a canoe overturned on a lake north of Anchorage.

Two brothers were canoeing on Matanuska Lake when the vessel capsized. Authorities say the body of 70-year-old Michael Francis of Pocatello, was recovered Friday morning but a search for the second brother was unsuccessful.

Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen tells the Anchorage Daily News that the body of 55-year-old Randy Francis of Wasilla was recovered Saturday at a depth of 35 feet.

Troopers say both men appeared to have drowned.
