Missing Fremont County truck found

Thanks to your help, Fremont County has its missing truck back.

After seeing the info on Local News 8, a man spotted the vehicle at KJ’s Truck Stop on Holmes and U.S. Highway 20 in Idaho Falls.

On Tuesday, Fremont County deputies were surprised to find $10,000 worth of tools were still inside. The truck also had a full tank of gas.

“(We) want to thank Bonneville County for contacting us,” said Fremont Lt. Bart Quayle.

The truck was stolen Thursday, the same night an inmate from the Department of Correction St. Anthony Work Camp turned up missing. Tarango Deforest Padilla, 39, is still at large.

Padilla was serving a seven- to 15-year sentence on two counts of grand theft from Twin Falls County.

Anyone with information about Padilla should call the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 624-4482.
