Eastern Idahoans hurt traveling to help Sandy victims
Five Idahoans on their way to help Superstorm Sandy’s victims were hurt over the weekend.
The Ohio State Highway patrol said the group was traveling in pickup trucks along the Ohio turnpike when they pulled over to make a repair on one of the trucks.
That’s when a semi-truck drove by and hit two of the pickups.
Zach Douglas, 20, of St. Anthony and Skylar Price, 35, of Menan were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The other three victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
The group works for a cleaning and restoration company in Rexburg.
The driver of the semi-truck was issued a citation.
