Couple arrested after Idaho Falls foot chase

Two people are in custody after trying to outrun Idaho Falls Police Thursday afternoon.

Police said 35-year-old Bradley Sean Westbrook was spotted walking with 31-year-old Shante Marie Davaz near Lincoln and John Adams Parkway. Westbrook was known to be a wanted felon.

Police said the couple attempted to run from officers who saw Westbrook throw a backpack over a fence.

After Westbrook was ordered to stop running, officers recovered the backpack. Police said the backpack contained 12 syringes, one of which was loaded with methamphetamine, and three spoons with residue. The total amount of methamphetamine weighed approximately 4.34 grams.

Westbrook was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two outstanding felony warrants.

Davaz kept running and attempted to hide in a vacant house in the 600 block of Holbrook. She was arrested on charges unlawful entry, resisting and obstructing police officers and four outstanding warrants.
