Festival of trees is open
The Festival of Trees has arrived in Idaho Falls.
The festival kicks off this week at the Shilo Inn Convention Center.
Dozens of trees, from big, to small, to the classic and the comical can be seen greeting visitors during the 38th year of the event.
The Festival of Trees raises money for people with disabilities and the development workshop.
Festival president Julie Norman knows the annual event means more than just supporting a good cause.
“There are families that it is what they do,” Norman said. “They look forward to festival. They come as families. And I feel like for our community, it brings us together and gets us in the Christmas spirit.”
The festival continues through Friday.
