Police: 3 teens burglarize cars in Idaho Falls
Police said three teens burglarized cars in Idaho Falls early Monday morning.
At 3 a.m., Bonneville County deputies received a report of possible car burglaries taking place in the 100 block of Maurine. Deputies were told three males had been observed going through cars in the area. Deputies found a car with three males in it close by. The sheriff’s office said the trio had burglarized cars in the area of Terrace and Brenthaven.
Idaho Falls police were called to help with the investigation.
Deputies also found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car the three were in.
The stolen property consisted mostly of change, small amounts of cash, credit cards, a checkbook and a couple of iPods, the police department said.
Kylee McNamara was booked into the Bonneville County Jail for four counts of vehicle burglary, seven counts of unlawful entry, possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The 16-year-old male was taken to 3B detention facility and booked on the same charges.
A warrant has been requested for the second 16-year-old, who fled from police.
