Boy hit by pickup released from hospital

A 4-year-old boy who was hit by a pickup in Idaho Falls earlier this month has been released from the hospital.

He had been at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City where he was being treated for a broken leg, arm and facial fractures, according to the boy’s mother.

The boy was hit on Nov. 2 at the corner of 12th Street and Cramner. A red pickup truck was driving east on 12th when they boy ran into the road.

Idaho Falls police said the driver was not impaired or driving wrecklessly. Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen says no one was cited or found to be at fault.
