US 20 reopens after semi-truck overturns

ASHTON, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE:-U.S. 20 was completely blocked for an hour and forty minutes at 3:30 p.m. Thursday after a Freightline with one trailer overturned.

Idaho State Police said it happened at milepost 372, north of Ashton. Amar Singh, 23, of Aurora, Colorado was eastbound on US 20 in the 2016 vehicle.

ISP said Singh drove off the right shoulder, over-corrected and overturned. The semi-truck came to rest on its passenger side and blocked the east and west bound lanes.

The road was fully opened about 5 hours later.

It is not known when the road will be cleared.
