Owners of abused dog could face charges
The most recent owners of the dog that was found with it’s muzzle taped shut could be facing charges.
The dog, Deputy, was found by an Idaho Falls police officer on the side of the road. His mouth was taped shut with electrical tape. Animal control said dog-fighting rings usually do this to animals, using them as bait to train other dogs.
The agency also says Deputy used to live in a good home, until those owners gave him away at 5 months old. After that, he had been passed around from home to home. The most recent owner came in to claim the dog and could now be facing charges.
Tune in tonight at 6 to see what Bonneville County prosecutors have to say.
