Local ‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant releases new songs

Remember the two sisters from Idaho Falls who placed in the top 10 of “America’s Got Talent?” One of them has just released two new songs on i-Tunes with a former winner of Idaho Idol.

Christina and Ali Christensen appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2010. Four years later, Ali is married and lives in Utah. Christina is a senior in high school and is in a band called Pieces of April.

“It has been good and hard at the same time; coming home to people who really don’t appreciate other people’s success can be hard, but there is also a lot of supporters,” Christina said.

She has been making music with Davin Nebeker. They have created songs called “Wintertime” and “We.”

Nebeker said the song “We” was inspired by his experiences in downtown Idaho Falls. The music video was even shot in the area.

“My sister’s name was April and she passed away four years ago and Davin’s brother actually dated her so we’ve known each other for a long time,” Christina said.

Davin and Christina want to make it big.

“I think for me and Christina, music is a huge part of our lives and if we can make this a career that is exactly what we want to go for,” Davin said.

They may even compete at another singing competition.

“Maybe ‘The Voice’ or ‘America’s Got Talent,’ Christina said.
