Idaho Falls man tells what really happened with ‘E.T.’ dump
There was some big hype surrounding the excavation of old Atari “E.T.” games last weekend.
Many urban legends surrounded the burial of the games that failed to sell three decades ago.
But one Idaho Falls man who recently moved to Nampa said he’s one of the people who helped bury the games.
Former Atari employee James Heller said there was no mystery or conspiracy about what happened.
“It was excess inventory that (Atari) couldn’t sell and get rid of it,” he said.
