Gas prices drop

The average price of gasoline dropped 4.3 cents a gallon in the last week in Idaho.

As of Sunday, gas cost an average of $3.55 in the Gem State, according to gasbuddy.com. The national average also fell, and stands at $3.30.

When compared to a year ago, gas prices in Idaho have fallen almost 15 cents.

Gas analysts predict the prices should continue to drop across the nation.

“Factors for this include lower driver demand, lower oil costs – oil has dropped below $90 for the first time in a while – and less driving coming out of the summer,” said Dave Carlson of Idaho AAA.
