Police: Bank robbery suspect had pipe bomb
A man suspected of robbing a credit union earlier this year was arrested Saturday, and he had a pipe bomb in his vehicle, police said.
Jordan was again spotted at the Idaho State University Credit Union early Saturday morning. Jordan is suspected of robbing the same branch on 4914 Yellowstone Ave. on July 26.
Police said when Jordan entered the credit union Saturday, employees immediately evacuated the building before Jordan could make contact.
He was arrested in the parking lot of Applebee’s in Pocatello, said Pocatello police Monday. While they talked to Jordan, they learned his vehicle contained a pipe bomb. The Idaho Falls Police Department Explosive Ordinance Detail destroyed the device.
Jordan was also wanted in connection to other bank robberies in Idaho and Utah.
