Pair try to entice boy in Pocatello neighborhood

Two males tried to entice a 12-year-old boy on Monday morning, Pocatello police said.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of Saratoga. The boy described the passenger van as having a sliding door, as well as a yellow stripe or yellow accent tape down the side. The pair, one of whom was wearing a leather jacket, tried to entice the boy with candy. They did not leave the van or try to grab him.

Officers said they have interviewed people in the area, but no one observed a vehicle matching the van’s description. Police have notified staff at Franklin Middle School.
