Man killed in Salmon house fire
A Salmon man was found dead Saturday night at a house fire in Salmon.
Lemhi County fire Chief Mike Warner said the fire was reported at 611 Idaho Avenue at 10:35 p.m. Flames were coming out of windows on three sides of the house when firefighters arrived.
According to reports, firefighters learned the home’s sole occupant was probably inside the house, but because of extreme fire behavior they were unable to get inside.
After the fire was brought under control, rescuers found the victim in a common living and bed room area.
The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The cause of the fire is till under investigation.
