Annual Festival of Trees begins

The annual Festival of Trees opened Wednesday at ISU’s Stephens Performing Arts Center.

This year, there are more than 96 trees on display and many are still for sale.

“There is something for everybody from small to large. Something that’s very elaborate to something that’s more modest,” said Shelley Allen, spokeswoman for Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 which has organized the festival for the last six years.

Last year Allen said the festival raised more than $90,000 for schools. She estimated 15,000 people would attend this year.

The festival runs through Saturday.
