Sandcreek Middle School chosen by Samsung

Sandcreek Middle School in Ammon is representing Idaho in the Samsung ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ competition. This is the second year in a row Sandcreek has been chosen.

Their entry was picked for its approach in advancing the S.T.E.M. subjects, which are science, technology, engineering and math.

The school has already won $20,000 for being chosen to represent Idaho. In the next round, they will have the opportunity to win between $35,000 to $120,000.

Principal Lyndon Oswald told Eyewitness News anchor Todd Kunz that last year, the school placed in the top 15 and won $35,000. Oswald said they won’t know if they’ve won until after the first of the year.
