Fish and Game look for poaching suspects

Idaho Fish and Game is asking for the public’s help in finding two poaching suspects.

The pair were seen fueling a newer, tan-colored Ford Raptor pickup at the Stage Stop gas station east of Boise on Nov. 3. In a news release Monday, Fish and Game said a trophy buck caught the attention of other Stage Stop customers, several of which talked to the suspects. Later that day, both men and the pickup were spotted in the Idaho Falls area.

They likely killed the animal in Owyhee County and might have transported it across state lines.

The suspects and the vehicle — which at the time had a temporary license plate — are thought to be from out of state.

“I’d really like to visit with anyone who spoke with either suspect or observed the deer in this distinctive vehicle,” Fish and Game investigator Kurt Stieglitz said.
