Way to beat the holiday blues

We’ve all heard about the holiday blues, but you might be surprised what we learned. Doctors say depression is at its lowest from November to January.

They do stress depression is real all year long, but if you do suffer from depression there are ways to fight the holiday blues.

“Have reasonable expectations to actually reach out and maybe even serve other people, take time to be healthy yourself,” said clinical psychologist John Landers.

People most likely to suffer from depression during the holidays are people who feel left out, those who feel like they don’t belong, and those who compare themselves unfavorably to others.

But taking the time to serve others will make you feel better and could help you beat depression.
