Rexburg Police seek runaway suspect

Rexburg Police are looking for a man who ran away from an interview room during questioning December 31, 2015.

Captain Randy Lewis said 31-year-old Joey Gilbert Dunaway, Jr. of Idaho Falls, was arrested with another man in connection with a reported theft at Walmart on New Year’s Eve.

While in custody in an interview room, police said Dunaway broke a clip-board when an officer left the room. He used a piece of metal from it to scrape through a lock on the door.

Dunaway is wanted on $20,000 bond for resisting and obstructing an officer, malicious injury to property, petit theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
