Air quality advisory and burn ban issued for Salmon area

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has issues an air quality advisory and burn ban for the Salmon area.

Air quality in the area is currently considered in the unhealthy for sensitive groups category. It is recommended that elderly people, small children and those with respiratory illnesses limit their outdoor exposure. Most will not be affected by the change in air quality.

While the advisory is in place all outdoor wood burning is prohibited.

Air quality for the area will be reassessed on Tuesday, January 19.
